About the United Nations Global Compact

The United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) is an initiative advocated by then-Secretary-General, Mr. Kofi Annan, at the World Economic Forum in 1999. It requires companies to uphold the ten principles related to the protection of human rights, the elimination of forced and compulsory labor, the response to the environment, and anti-corruption. Shibaura Electronics agrees to the ten principles set by the United Nations Global Compact and declares its participation. To achieve a healthy global society, we will proactively take initiatives through our business activities.
